Kayak, Canoe and Rowing Boat Hire at The Henny Swan

A four-mile drive away from Sudbury, Suffolk, in the village of Great Henny. We operate from the riverside garden at The Henny Swan, a very popular and well-regarded pub and restaurant, with an extensive drinks menu, superb food, a large pub garden and views across the surrounding water meadows.

What’s on offer?

Experience the joy of kayaking, canoeing and rowing with our diverse range of watercraft. Choose from our selection of single kayaks, tandem kayaks for two people, Canadian canoes for 2-3 people, or rowing boats. Each kayak is carefully chosen for its exceptional manoeuvrability, stability, and stylish design. Whether you're looking for a solo adventure or a shared experience, we have the perfect boat for you. Our rentals are available for 1, 2, 4 and 6-hour durations. Longer and multi-day hires are sometimes possible and available bookable through email.

In addition to our kayak rentals, we provide special sessions for beginners called 'Introduction to Kayaking' and improvers called ‘Kayaking Improver’. These sessions are designed to help you get started and enjoy kayaking with confidence. For a unique experience, join us for our 'Golden Hour Paddles' at The Henny Swan, where you can explore the beauty of the waterways during the tranquil hours of the morning and evening.
